St. Edwards… I can’t quite believe it’s time to say goodbye to a venue that has been like a second home to me. From the first time I set foot on the property to meet Soph and have a chat, to the last moment when I walked out the back gate after this wedding, every minute has been an amazing ride that’s for sure. From the countless chats I’ve had with so many awesome staff over the years to the tongue in cheek stink-eye’s from Josh about walking on the grass too much, there’s just so many great memories for me to even have half a chance to sum it all up here!
I’ve been frequenting this place to tell wedding stories with a camera for a long time now. Around a decade I think. Big weddings, small weddings, crazy parties and a million cocktails on the lawn in the sun. Sometimes surrounded by dry and hot browned off rolling hills. Sometimes amongst green and lush paddocks bursting with blindingly bright Canola plants. Always classy.
It’s been a blast sharing a ton of brilliant wedding days with so many rad couples. documenting all these special country shin-digs has been an honour and a privilege. It’s definitely a place I will never forget.
It was only fitting that the universe sent Dave and Rach to me to enjoy the place one last time. Two loved up Doctors and a super-cute, super hyper, soft and fluffy dog-child. Kind, relaxed, trusting and ready to party! The perfect people to spend my last day here with. I treasure days like these when I can just do what I do and truly craft a story with everything I’ve got from the first minute to the last. No stress, no worries, just the right amount of romance and a gigantic load of fun to jam into the camera. I believe we accomplished that feat and then some.
PS. I’ve learned a few things about Doctors getting married over the years… They usually have a truck load of mates who know how to level one thousand proper party!
