Bright is a beautiful place. The prettiest little town at the base of the Victorian Alps leaves it’s mark on everyone who visits, and I am no exception that’s for sure. I love the way the pine forests carve lines into the blue sky. Bright sunny days in the Summer. Mist, clouds and snow in the Winter. The seasons could not be more different. I’ve spent a good chunk of time here and for some reason, it always feels like I belong.

Harry and Katherine’s day was one of the best sun-drenched, warm days I have experienced down that way in a long time. From the hills above Bright to Feathertop Winery at Porepunkah, every location felt like it was up in the clouds. Views for miles and miles across the valley. It’s hard to put into words how much I connect with the places as much as the people so it’s a good thing that the photos might do that by themselves. I loved being there for these two. Meeting their families and friends. Even re-connecting with a few old friends from previous weddings too.

As the sun made it’s way behind the mountains to the west, I got to spend some quality time on the vineyard access roads with these two. I was thankful to be almost back to normal in a post Covid19 world. Tripping all over the place with a couple of cameras and a full heart. Getting to know quality people on a jam-packed emotional day is always so rewarding because I know I can build something special in return; a visual story that can be absorbed and cherished for all time. Yeah for sure it’s beyond intense – let’s not pretend otherwise. But it’s also so worth it in every single way.

This is the story of Harrison and Katherine’s classic, alpine wedding day in one of my favourite little spots…
